VIP LOUNGES????? REALLY?

On a recent trip to Sydney I was staying at the Meriton Serviced Apartments on Kent Street. As I wandered the streets after a hard days work at the RSVP Event Showcase Expo at Sydney Convention Centre I stumbled across a HUGE amount of VIP Lounges that were a feature at each and every bar!

• What constitutes being a VIP?
• If there is so many VIP lounges what makes you so special to enter them and what do you really get?
• What is A VIP Lounge?
• Why is there a VIP lounge?
• Who goes to the VIP Lounge?
• What is included in your VIP Status?

After googling what a VIP lounge is, I'm undecided whether it is in fact just for men or are women able to experience a VIP lounge without a lap dance...

Baffled? Confused? and a little Intrigued?
