Best Christmas Party Venues …Ever

Pop the champagne corks, the party season has well and truly began. The annual Christmas office party is a way to mingle and bond with workmates after a long year. Letting your hair down, getting drunk and making a complete fool of yourself is a rite of passage every year for hundreds of employees all around Australia.

Employees over-indulge, over-share and sometimes resent having to socialise with people they might not like. Yet the office party is an important opportunity for employers to show their appreciation to their staff for a year of hard work. So go on, get drunk and have a good time.

The Christmas party time also means it’s time to look at all the Christmas party venues out there. There are a huge number of them and all fantastic, but which are the best? The ideal venue should be in a convenient and excellent location, have the wow factor and should cater for the number of guests which will be attending. 

See my list below for some awesome Gold Coast venues. This is defiantly personal choice and up for debate if you want, but if you’ve been to as many venues as I have - you’ll know I’ve seen a venue or two! So without further ado.

McLaren’s Landing

McLarens Landing is a hidden tropical island paradise with a crusiy 40 minute ride on board either a luxury catamaran or at a more leisurely pace Tall Ship sailing boats. Guests are treated to a sunset cruise as they sip champagne and much on canapés cruising the magnificent Broadwater. Guest will dine, drink and dance the night away in a Balinese style 5-star paradise (my personal favourite).

Shuck Restaurant, Tedder Ave Main Beach

Located at Main Beach on the famous “Tedder Avenue”, Shuck Restaurant & Shuck Bar is the perfect corner position for people watching whilst enjoying a cocktail and some wonderful food.

Palazzo Versace

From the moment you step inside Palazzo Versace you will be whisked away in an opulent indulging experience. With everything done to excess from food to drinks and décor, this venue that has to be experienced. Looking at one of the world’s best coastlines while enjoying champagne on the boss and imagining one of those magnificent yachts is yours (we can all dream).

Skypoint, Q1

As they say “start your event on a high” meaning feasting and drinking way up in the clouds (at least I think that is what they mean…) Celebrate the end of the working year with the office Christmas party in style at SkyPoint and enjoy an experience like no other.

Jupiters Resort and Casino

Conrad Jupiters is the perfect place for an office Christmas party, casino, bars, nightclub, pub and home to one of Australia’s largest hotel meeting spaces with 594 hotel guest rooms. This five-star property boasts a host of amazing facilities to cater for any Christmas party, any size.

Hyatt Regency, Sanctuary Cove

Set amidst lush tropical gardens and offering a unique blend of sophistication and colonial charm, Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove is the venue of choice for any event, accommodating groups of five to 500 people. 

Oskars on Burleigh

One of Australia's best surf beaches and captivating views north to Surfers Paradise unfold before your eyes at Oskars on Burleigh. By day the waves rolling in below you’re close enough to throw out a line. As the sun sets, the moon rises over the ocean and the lights of the Surfers Paradise skyline command your attention. Sounds like a novel. 

With seating for 150, guests can choose from indoors or outdoors on either of two undercover deck areas.
