Brisbane Powerhouse is in the heart of New Farm and Teneriffe’s historical industrial zone, which originally featured a sugar refinery, gasworks, wharves and wool stores. The building itself was once a working power station, which electrified the city from the 1920s to the 1970s.

Left abandoned, the city’s artists, rebels and fringe-dwellers used the building as a performance space, home and underground hang-out. Now it’s an arts and cultural hub, offering an array of performing arts, visual arts, festivals, and free community events.

The Powerhouse is now bit of an institution around Brisbane, and obviously a pretty popular place to get married, check out their gallery page...amaze balls.

Their venue spaces come in all forms of size and colour with rooms perfect for conferences, meetings, private functions, weddings and ceremonies.
