I want to let you in on a story about an Old Dairy, a Farmhouse and a Secret Cabin…

Hup, hup one, two, three, four up Mt Warning. If hiking up Mt Warning is not your thing, relax there are plenty of other things to do and see around the mountain - it’s way to challenging for me too.

So Gold Coasters and locals get your country boots on and set your eyes upon a view that will seriously take your breath away. Mt Warning, of course!

This is a getaway is to end all getaways. Set within a beautiful 25 acre farmland, Mavis's Kitchen & Cabins is located at the foot of Mt Warning in the lush Tweed Valley, less than an hours' drive from its raucous mate, Surfers Paradise.

Accommodation is truly an experience. Every cabin/house comes with all the mod cons, that’s if you want to use them, I doubt you will. I’m guessing when you arrive you’ll want to share your time relaxing and taking in the natural surrounds.

The Log Cabin is intimate, rustic and very private. This cabin was created with romance in mind… oh la, la. Tucked away, but close enough to wander down to the restaurant when hunger creeps in.

The Old Farm House is big enough for the whole family with its farm yard feel or some extra space for mooching around or sitting back and relaxing.

The Old Dairy will keep you happy until the cows come home. It’s light, bright and spacious…guests rave about the stonewalled skylight bathroom…

And the jewel in the crown, Mavis’s Kitchen. People come from far and wide to enjoy the delectable delights on offer. Staying on the grounds is one thing, staying and eating is quite an extraordinary experience.

Mavis's Kitchen is named in honour of Charlie's (owner) mother, Mavis. Mavis's cooking skills are legendary and Charlie attributes his passion for food to his mother - wholesome country fare with flair is cooked at this gracious high-set Queensland

Only using fresh and organic produce to serve simple, home cooked and unpretentious meals in this beautiful environment.

Go on and try a package, stay the whole weekend – you’ll be glad you did.
