This is a hidden secret on the Gold Coast. I had no idea it existed until my family drove me bonkers and I needed to escape work, family and life. In the words of some hippy dippy, I needed a lifestyle retreat and Gwinganna provided it.

Formally known as Carrara Stadium (to locals it always will be) is the Gold Coast’s sporting venue since the Brisbane Bears (AFL) way back in 1987. The Bears moved back to Brisbane (the Gabba) and it has been used for other sports including rugby league….remember the Gold Coast Seagulls and the Chargers?
