Event planners are busy little bees, busy buzzing about from one event to the next and organising up a storm. They literally don’t have enough hands or enough help to do everything, and even if they did have enough help, the Event Manager would still insist on doing it themselves.

Enter the world of technology. Since the smart phone came along basically whatever you want is at your fingertips. There are new apps each month entering the market to make organising and fulfilling requests easier for Event Planners. So I have found (or rather someone has) the best apps available, and free to download that every Event Planner should start using to give themselves an extra pair of hands.

In fact you don’t even have to be an Event Planner to enjoy these apps, especially Eversnap, anyone can use this app. Whether you’re planning a huge event or an intimate get together, these apps will make light work of your job.

Feast your eyes on these five free apps you have to have.

1. Hootsuite

Hootsuite is the best app for social media management. It’s a social media tool that is great for publishing, and can also provide social media metrics. What does that mean? Well, it can manage multiple social media accounts, perform social media analytics, it can track brand mentions in posts and it can also schedule posts, messages and tweets for up-coming events. Must have!

2. Heytell

Another little beauty that is free, and is most useful. Heytell is a great app that turns your phone into a modern day walkie-talkie. Yes, yes you could just ring each other and your team non-stop every minute, but what is smart about that. This app is for communicating with your team by sending and receiving voice messages with other Heytell users (your team).

3. Slack

Remember msn messenger when you were at work, instant messaging without the opening and closing emails or waiting around for the server to catch up. This is what Slack is…real time messaging app that allows you and your team to work in the moment. This cool little app not only lets you do real time messaging, but also file sharing, group conversations, search and archiving, and can access Dropbox, Twitter, Google+ and more. So don’t be slack, get Slack.

4. Asana

Emails are out baby, and apps are in! Another app that allows teamwork communication without all the emails. You can create tasks, reminders requests, add due dates, file, conversations and attachments. Magical stuff.

5. Eversnap

This handy little app allows you to keep track of all the photos from your event including all images associated with the event in one handy little space. It also lets all your team members who are also on Eversnap to upload their photos they have captured of the event to one central place. You can share photos and videos and with unlimited space.

Get on board, get with it and get whatever you have to do to get to make the administration side of things a little simpler.
