I read that at an event, a crafty and innovative events planner had suspended all desserts from the ceiling with a cord to pull after the main course. Unbeknown to unsuspecting and curious event goers what was hanging from the ceiling…

When it was time to pull – what came out, or rather crashing to the table, was a perfectly formed fudge cake – while falling that is.

Sitting in on Master Class Series at the recent RSVP Event Showcase held at Sydney Convention Centre is truly one of my favourite things to do!  It is always refreshing to hear new perspectives on where the Event Industry is headed, who has done what and what their perspective is on the ever changing event experience.

One talk that really peeked my interest was from leading consultant & expert Matt Jones, Founder & Consultant at Better Happy. Matt's talk focused on what's next in terms of strategic, creative, and design opportunities that will keep live event experiences as relevant as ever.

On a recent trip to Sydney I was staying at the Meriton Serviced Apartments on Kent Street. As I wandered the streets after a hard days work at the RSVP Event Showcase Expo at Sydney Convention Centre I stumbled across a HUGE amount of VIP Lounges that were a feature at each and every bar!
